Great, great, granddaughter of Charles Dana Gibson, Anna comes from a long line of artists. Her love for art flourished while at the Riley School (’97 Grad) exploring painting, photography, and ceramics with Mary Bourke. Anna then had the privilege of being mentored by Simon van der Ven in her high school years. She went on to earn her BFA in Illustration from Syracuse University studying under Murray Tinkelman and Yvonne Buchanan.

While training professionally for the US Nation Rowing Team Anna continued to practice graphic design and illustration. Most notably, she illustrated Wren’s Summer Day by Mathew Stevens. As a watercolor artist she has painted and studied around the world, including New Zealand and Ecuador. Anna recently returned to Mid-Coast Maine with partner, Wesley Walker and her two sons, Avery and Owen.

Anna has a great passion for facilitating growth in future generations. She believes that when you help people discover their strengths, passions and abilities they will carry on with confidence. She has done this most recently though the sport or rowing and is excited to continue to foster growth and share her passion for art. Anna is a 2008 Olympic Gold medalist.
