Brad Choyt Named Interim Head of Riley School
The Riley School Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Brad Choyt will serve as Riley’s Interim Head of School for the 2026-2027 school year.
Brad will serve in a half-time capacity within a distributed leadership structure designed specifically for Riley’s needs during this transition year. This intentional model allows Riley to benefit from Brad’s extensive educational leadership experience while also drawing on the continuity, institutional knowledge, and daily presence of trusted internal educators. Brad will hold ultimate responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the school, while key administrative, programmatic, and community-facing responsibilities will be shared across a small internal leadership team.
Brad brings extensive independent school leadership experience, including prior service as Head of School at Crossroads Academy, North Yarmouth Academy, and Blue School, as well as founding leadership at Green School in Bali. His background includes school leadership, faculty development, enrollment, fundraising, governance, strategic planning, and community-building.
The Board believes Brad is well suited to provide steady, thoughtful leadership during this transition year while honoring Riley’s mission, philosophy, and child-centered approach to education.
